I don't call it moderation. I call it do I want to walk. At 190+ my knees hurt so bad, I don't want to walk. Neither do I want to do knee replacements, or be eating pills to stop the pain, when all I have to do is not weigh that much. Saves $$, too. The grocery bill is less & so is the cost of the meds I'm not taking. Win, win, as far as I'm concerned.

That is a very good way to do it.
Staying off the pills is smart
I have a different situation and enjoy my excesses. I'm lucky with my plates and broke stuff I don't have pain
