Sadly this is a bad time to be shipping anything. In the past I have used UPS, FedEx, and USPS, all with good results. They all suck big time now. Part of that is their fault, BUT they were all hit with a DRASTIC increase in business, like 10 times more almost overnight. People started ordering things they used to buy locally. I lived on food from Amazon for almost a year. The shipping companies had to quickly hire more people, and deal with a lot of restrictions that should have never existed, but they did. And they did not deal with it well. They didn't have either the employees or equipment to ship such massive amounts of stuff. Just look at the supply chain issues we are still dealing with. True, most of it is the government's fault. Shipping companies are caught in a bad place. They don't know whether to permanently increase their size and capacity, or whether this massive increase in shipping is temporary.
