If the jet on the left is indeed Dyno Jet it should be 5 MM where the Keihin will be 6 MM

We get that complaint periodically ... "The main jet you sent doesn't fit!"

Every single time, it's been because the carb has a non-stock emulsion tube. Usually a Dynojet kit. The customer bought the bike used and didn't know.

That's odd, because M5 threads are normally 0.8 mm (coarse) or 0.5 mm (fine).

Well CV-Performance opened up ordering again, so I ordered both jets and an emulsion tube from them, a bit pricey with shipping, but I’m sure long term it’ll be nice having two tubes

If you have a Dynojet emulsion tube you might have a Dynojet needle as well. Might want to take a look so you can order a CVP needle to go with other parts.

I don't doubt this at all - Dynojet kits were popular alterations to the CV40 - In fact, many still provide such kits including H-D... But most users have no idea how using those kits modify the otherwise excellent carb into a narrow condition good plus wide condition poor carb.

As the Sportsterpedia notes: Check the Main Emulsion Tube - The STOCK Keihin tube has 2x2Hi+4x3Lo Emulsion Holes - DJ uses only 2Lo Holes.

The OP's tube matches the Keihin design.
