Default What's your road name? How did you get it.

Hello all my road name is Mouse.

The way I got my road name.

Back in 2000 I was working a government contract upgrading KC 135s for USAF. I could get threw the trap door in the cockpit down into the nose in less than 30 seconds.

There was one of my coworkers that was into the Matrix movies. One day he said you know Bryan you kind of look like the guy from the Matrix Mouse and as fast as you can get from the cockpit to the nose is like a mouse running down a hole. My other coworkers heard this and no one ever called me Bryan again.

At the time only one coworker and I lived in the same town so we would car pool. We used to stop a the VFW on the way home for a beer or two. He would just keep calling me Mouse. In short my parents and others I road with also hung out at the Vfw they over heard this and from then on it was written in stone.

Some years later I tried to get people to stop calling me that. Thats when an old scooter tramp sat me down and said listen here. I have known you many years and you may not like your road name, When we heard your buddy calling you that it just fit. We all gave you that name ! I don't care if you change it you will always be Mouse to us !
So if you want to change it go ahead but I will always call you Mouse!

So here it is 20 years later and I still am called by it.

You can pick who you ride with but you don't pick your road name.
They funniest thing for me is when someone says ask Bryan. They all say who?

Mine is "pole cat". I got my road name in 2004. I was 4th or 5th in trail of 20-25 Harleys on our way to the Annapolis, MD as part of the MD ABATE ride when to the front the bikes started break formation. A skunk had ran onto the road. Unfortunately I hit it and flipped the poor creature into the lap of another biker. From that day on my HOG group called me "Pole Cat".

I get called Spinach Chin or Spin. It a 3 Stooges reference to someone with a beard. A friend who was a fellow Stooges fan tagged me with it years ago.

Rok is mine and my younger brothers handle.

Last name is like a mouthful of marbles for most scooter tramps met on the road.

Back around 1995 I built a cafe racer from a 94 1200 Sportster.
Put a Storz road racing seat on. Kit came with an inner fender. Best thing you could say about that particular component was that it was there.

So, when riding in wet conditions I would send a huge rooster tail of water behind me. Ended up tail end Charlie on every ride, as no one in HOG group would ride behind me.

And they called me Rooster....

Most of the folks I ride with around here have a hard time keeping up, if they put me in the lead, which they don't do, any more. They don't ride Sportsters, tho. They've taken to calling me Flyin' Brian.
