Default Bendix tips

Just wanted to share a couple things from my Bendix rebuild.
First off I got what was supposed to be a genuine Bendix rebuild kit on Ebay and the float needle was to short so I suspect the kit was fake. Also after fighting with the float spring a couple times I cut a strip out of a beer can about 2 inches long and one inch wide then folded it over 3 times lenghtwise and tapped it down nice and flat with a hammer ending up with a piece about 3/8 inch wide and 2 inches long. Easy to bend a curve in so you can slide it into the floatbowl to push the end of the spring into position and flexible enough to easily pull it out when the bowl is almost seated on the gasket made it easy to get that damned spring in there right.
