I have the Cortech DSX and I love it

Very comfortable, and the vents work really well.

I thought I’d set up a poll on armor use – just because. We can’t have too many useless polls. This includes CE types built in, as well as types you wear underneath…

I have two jackets, one for cooler rides, and one for warmer rides. The jacket for when the temperature is lower is leather with double patches at the elbows and shoulders. The jacket for warmer weather is mesh with armor at the elbows and shoulders.

Removed all armor because it was so uncomfortable. Overpants had it in the knees, but the knees were at my shins - I am short and haven't found anything for petites in motorcycle gear.

I think an armoured jacket is a good/wise investment...specially if You are riding out of town at highway speeds.
I got a Tourmaster Intake Jacket with shoulder, elbows & back pads, excellent for warm weather (Honduras avg temp... is about 77°F) and so far pretty confortable.

Ride safe....but ride!!!

Default Y Knot?

Just couldn't think of a reason not to wear the armor. Wear the heavy leather jacket with back, shoulder and elbow armor, and if it gets hot (not too often in Minnesota) then I'll zip the vents open. Will probably get a mesh version for warm days riding to and from work, which sometimes comes with heavy stop-and-go traffic.
