GhostBrackets are similar to the EasyBrackets, also a good product. The GhostBrackets don't stand out as far from the bike as the EasyBrackets. The EasyBrackets seemed to have a more durable construction. That is why I opted for the EasyBrackets back when I bought mine. They are both quality products, unless something has changed since I bought mine 'bout 2 years ago.

Same with EZ-bracket - link?
I bought them from Cruisecustomising but apparently they dont sell them anymore. And I cant find information from them. They work fine and dont require oiling like leather would...
I had very bad experience buying from cruise customing. It took at least 1.5 months and 4 international calls for them to send the items to me. I actually wrote back to express my dissatifaction and of course, they did not have the guts to post in the the customers feedback. ....be warned.

Kevin, I promised you pics of my Leather Pros bags a couple of weeks ago and finally got around to taking the pics yesterday. But I am having issues with my puter at home that have to be resolved before I can post the pics. One of the issues is getting the kodak easyshare software to let me dump the pics in "my pictures". For some reason the pics I took are not showing up there. They are in "my gallery" in the kodak program. When I get home today I'll work on it.

The reason I chose Leather Pros was because of the excellent quality of the leather and the thickness of the ABS plastice they use to stiffen the bags. The backs are molded to fit around the shocks according to year/model. They send all the hardware you will need to be able to have a custom fit. If you are running a detachable sissy bar they have a longer bolt with their attachment button so you can easily detach the sissy bar without taking off the bags. And with the bags off, their buttons look good. A lot of people will not like my choice of buying the larger size bags but I like to be able to take what I need on long rides. Here is a link to the site:

www.leatherpros.com

I will be adding a tour pack from them very soon. This should complete all my comfort items for the bike except for the speaker system that I plan to add in the Winter. This is the website for those:

www.uniqcycle.com
http://www.uniqcycle.com/Album10.htm

BTW the sporty in the pic is the exact same as my bike....1200C in turquoise/sand.

As I stated earlier I hope (and Plan) to have pics posted tonight.

Here is a pic of my bike and bags"

I have the Saddlemen Drifter Saddlebags, X-Jumbo size. These babies are big, 22" x 10.5" x 7". Good for a small body if need be. I bought the bags off of BikerHaven on eBay for around $140.

I mounted them with the Easy Brackets mentioned above. Just to note, Easy brackets make two different models for the Sporties, a wide and a narrow. The wide is to be used on bags that will extend past the shocks (like mine). They do stick out a bit much, but I only use them when going on longer trips. Use the narrow if you can mount your bags behind the shock.

As Sandman883 mentioned in his post, the Saddleman bags have a plastic back plate that makes it easy to use the Easy Brackets. BUT, I would caution after a couple thousand miles my plastic backing plate started to crack. Fortunately, I caught it before the bags fell off. I'll be reinforcing this area with a steel plate on the inside of the bag.

My rear turn signal relocation kit ($105) and the Easy Brackets ($155) were purchased from Great Bike Gear.

Hope that helps someone!

I've got a saddlebag fetish.

All bags in pics are mounted to Easy Brackets "Slims" (bags have to fit behind shocks)

These are Saddlemen Elite something or the other. I think they are discountinued.......

These are called Saddleman something or the other also.....

These are some ZR1's, aka Dekaulb Trading......

To the dial-up guys.....sorry for the huge pictures.

John

I haven't seen any Boss Bags yet right?

Or Willie & Maxes?

Post away, lets make this a one stop info thread for bags
