I am going to try to round up a couple more dynos fore this thread that are scattered all over the forum and the web. Dynos along with a list of mods are an important reference.

I also recently reference the dyno below in my 88" flat tracker thread, This dyno belongs to NitroSportster:

This motor has buell firestorm heads ported by terry that were built 4 years ago back when it was 74 cubic inches which i think makes these numbers pretty impressive. This is a street legal bike that i ride on the street and which i won the F.L.A.S.H race in iowa on. I plan on racing it in F.L.A.S.H class in AMDRAGS.
Mods:
87"
Redshift cams 643 or larger
Mikuni 48
Force Pipe
Terry Reed Prepped T-Storm Heads

Once we installed a special needle jet ( midrange brass jet) the tuning went quick. I had Cycle Shacks with stock head pipes and gained over 22 tq (thru-3600), over 10 tq (thru 4400) and equaled thru 6000 then started gaining to +4 at 6500 !!! awsome torque increase.
The HP was +5 @3000, +12 @3600, +10 @4200, leveling to no gain at 6000 then gaining 4 @ 6200, to +9 at 6500.

This bike now makes over 80 tq from 2400 rpm to 6200 rpm (over 90 tq 3700-5000 rpm)

The peak number are 94.43 hp and 90.44 tq with the D&D 2-1 pipe

Last night we were tuning the carb only, I have not touched the timing since I first set it last year. I will mess with the timing on the dyno prior to going to Bonneville this year. The 82 c.i. 1350cc 98' Buell motor I built made 128 hp and 101 ft tq!! I was really excited that the A/F is set-up correctly now and the bike made the power it did. We were going to make one more pass and felt it was going to make 1-2 horse more, but I broke my dam cast POS shifter shaft that slides onto the pawl. At any rate I think the bike will see a 130+ dyno pass in the future with some more fine tuning of the carb and playing with the timing.

I titled the thread the way I did because Dan promised me along time ago that my motor would make this kind of hp and it did! So a big thanks goes out to Dan for all of his help, all of the time! Thanks Dan!

I also wanted to thank Aaron (ASWracing)as well as he has offered quite a bit of very valuable info to keep me going in the right direction. Thanks Aaron.

There is a big dip at 5500 - 6000 rpm, (needle clip position?)

The engine is Nallin 88 ci kit, stage 2 XB heads, N8 cams, HSR42, single fire, Daytona twin tech ign set on 3rd race slope. Hurricane AC.

The carb is baselined with 175 main, 97 needle clip in the middle, and 25 pilot.

The ignition is just static timed per book, I have NOT done any tuning of it yet.

So my questions would be, (I know dyno tuning is best, but I really dont have the $ right now) would turning the ignition CCW a tad help? would the dip be the clip position? which way, move it up or down?

Also, they do not give you the AF ration on the readout.
Thanks

ETA (the gaps are cable issues with the dyno)

I'm not at liberty to say a whole lot about it. It's 82ci, we did the whole motor, ported the heads, designed and built the exhaust. We were hoping for 140hp and I still think we'll get there. The customer was up against a time limit and we left a little on the table just out of time constraints. But it'll be back in the shop multiple times over the coming year.

Last year it had less than this by a decent amount, and he ran a best of 10.12 @134mph. I want to see him run a 9 this year. No wheelie bars, no air shifter.

Here is a Hammer Build from their website:

1999 Buell X1 owned by Dale Nillis
Hammer Performance/Axtell Cast Iron 88 Inch Kit
Hammer Performance Sledge Head Porting Service on Buell XB Heads
S&S 600 cams
Force Big Bore Exhaust
Dyno tuned using ECM Spy by Max at High Country Harley Davidson

Dale set out to pound his competition, and the result is a fire-breathing 125 horsepower Buell X1! He got that result using an 88 Inch Kit and Sledge Head Porting service from Hammer Performance. A set of S&S 600 cams handles the valve motion and a Force Big Bore exhaust handles the exhausting chores. Be careful if you challenge Dale to a race, you're liable to be crushed!

I believe this was a high compression race gas motor.
