Default Sportster 1200 conversion

Hey guys and gals I’ve got a 1987 sportster 883 with a cv carb conversion and high flow intake and exhaust but with my weight I find it to be a little sluggish when I double with my wife and also would love some extra go for riding with my stepdad. I’m wondering if I can just buy a used Set of 1200 jugs and pistons With new rings and gaskets and just convert it or would I need different pistons To lower the compression or other things to build the conversion? I’m wanting the 1200 kits so that later when I get use to it I can build a 100hp turbo setup but I hear 883 are to small to get proper spoolup and I hear the 1200 jugs will gain a lot more power as is. Any info would be appreciated and thanks in advance.

OK
A 1250 kit for an 883 to 1250 may be available with dished pistons, might have to go 1275 kit.
1200 pistons and jugs will have way to much compression under 883 heads

Yea those kits aren’t really an option for me as they are more expensive than advertised as I’m from Canada and I can find 1200 jugs for less than 500$ here so I’m just trying to go with my cheapest option if I can make a kit work

Wiseco makes a 1200 piston to run 883 heads
You can bore 883 jugs to 1200 size

Oh ok I’ll look into that kit as I know a good machinist hat does cylinder boring for 100$ per cylinder
