Wonderful, you guys are pointing to a video aimed at voter suppression and claiming that "most don't get it".

Now that's funny, and one of you guys called my post asinine, how ironic is that?

Thanks, you made my day.

So Wedge, if your choice was between a lying crooked thief and a lying misogynistic asshole, who would you vote for?

Yep, it's that simple, that was the choice for the 2016 presidential election. The sad fact is most people are OK with that.

Not enough information there to make any choice at all.

Looking back at 2016, (which I assume you are talking about), I have followed both candidates for multiple decades (I am 70). The two choices you present here applied to only one of the candidates. I understand that there are millions of uninformed voters who listen to news and the internet in an attempt to try to catch up, however, a lifetime of observation cuts right through the BS.

The video that you posted Jim, is a typical political ploy to make people feel good about not voting. Maybe ask yourself why that is, and who it benefits?

I assume from having spoken to you for a few years here that you have served the country, and likely many in your family have also served. The same is true of my family, myself, and my son in law is serving right now. I consider it my responsibility to respect everyone's sacrifice in this country by staying informed and always voting. That video denigrates the sacrifice that everyone who has ever served this country served for.

Someone posted earlier that they do not vote for positions that they are not educated on. I do agree with that, and for that reason I never vote on local school positions. I leave that to those who have children and understand what they want from the school district.

To Airbozo, I don't generally disagree with you on much, however; in this case I take one major exception. Holding your nose and voting for one person so the other looses may be the only way to keep Jack The Ripper out of office if half the country is obsessed with voting him in. So, that argument has never held water in my book. As complicated as politics is, the difference between greater evil and lesser evil may be the difference between loosing our freedoms and keeping them. It's a balance of gray tones. If everything were black and white, our decisions would be easy.

With this said, I have no interest in arguing with friends. I will not post again in this thread and will leave you guys with the last words.

We are pretty much the same age Wedge.

And it does not matter that "you" think (or, for that matter what I think) what I said applied to only one candidate. What matters is what the potential voter believes. Try to look at it objectively.

People disgusted by politicians sometimes is a strategic plan of parties... in this way vote only fans and supporters... meanwile the rest... I.E. objective people... diserted the pools...
