You forgot the most important question. Is your carb stock or after market?

Tuning the Carb for the Bike:

No matter where you start, you still have to tune the carb to the bike - there's no magic formula to implement - it requires that you observe the bike's performance and examine the plugs - then make changes accordingly...

You can get jets at your local HD in most cases - getting a particular needle may be a little more difficult from HD - and HD has no easy-reach Idle Mixture Screw options... CV Performance has been a good source for all of these as well...

Definitely stay away from the DynoJet kits... Save your money and the headaches...

I like starting at a point close to where others have found the right tune - It doesn't take the place of plug reading and tuning, but it will give you a starting boost toward the right setting...

If you have upgraded your air cleaner & exhausts, I'm almost certain the 42 Slow Jet will need to be increased to 44 or 45 - Based on many previous reports, most 1200's idle and transition better with a 45 Slow Jet (some with a 46)...

A 175 or 180 Main (on a 1200/1250) should be a good starting point...

Needles are mostly mid-range critical (you can shim most any needle to help the lowest end if necessary)... But the subtle changes that the needle makes in the mid-range may call for careful analysis to get the right one... Many of the 90's 1200's relied on the N65C to get close to the desired goal...

Your stock needle may be just fine as a starting point... You'll have to check your low- and mid-range performance to determine whether a replacement needle is necessary or whether shimming what you have will be sufficient...

It's not rocket science - If you pay attention to the engine sounds and performance, take spark plug readings (chops), and get a little coaching from the forum, you should be able to get the right parts and make the right adjustments to be happy with it's performance...
