Default WTF is it with these F'n rocker cover leaks!

I am getting really tired of rocker cover leaks every 500 miles. Ive been using the James gaskets and rubber on these. Ive got a set of the brown HD ones with the single ridge instead of double. Are they any better? I'm about to drill and tap for helicoils and crank these f'n covers down to 20ft.lbs. instead of 12.

You may want to use the inch pound torque settings as they are probably more accurate than the really low ft/lb settings. The HD ones sound like a good idea. Good Luck!

Any thoughts on spraying your gaskets with deodorant to see if it might be more than just rocker boxes?
Maybe CC pressure too high?
I'd buy having one set of bad gaskets but not more.

If it's only one side, it may be a gasket.
But both sides or more than just the box gaskets could be excess CC pressure.

Well how would I lower cc pressure? I've got breather bolts with bigger holes than stock.
New umbrella valves?

Better ring seal or the newer oil pump with the larger scavenge section.

I'm pretty sure my new rings seated just fine. What about the cam cover mod I've reading. Drilling a hole and adding a fitting to put a hose with a pcv valve?
Maybe my umbrella valves are just shot. I don't puke any oil.

Don't you only have 165 psi cranking pressure? A leak down test might be appropriate.

I run 255 cc pressure and 210 cc pressure with zero issues and bone stock crank case venting . I’d look into something warped....
