I was standing next to a down tree. The butt of witch was still 2' in the air because the weight was all on the canopy. The tree was down for at least an hour and had not budged so I guess I let my guard down, and didn't pay enough attention to where I was standing. Then I guess the tree just decided "you know what Gary F--- you", and the top of it shifted swinging the end of the trunk into my leg. I went over and when I tried to stand up I thought hey that bend didn't used to be there. Good times. Could have gone a lot worse. So no complaints.

"Take most people, they're crazy about cars. They worry if they get a little scratch on them, and they're always talking about how many miles they get to a gallon, and if they get a brand-new car already they start thinking about trading it in for one that's even newer. I don't even like old cars. I mean they don't even interest me. I'd rather have a goddam horse. A horse is at least human, for God's sake." ~ Holden Caulfield

Yes, and Yes. Got a new rod in my leg and was walking 3 weeks later. Doctor said he has never seen anyone heal better. Feeling great now. Still limp a little, but I can ride my bicycle all as good as ever. Just waiting for the bone to heel more so my doctor will let me loose, and I can avenge my leg. Thanks for asking. Now if I just knew who to avenge?
