Default Clutch cable options

The ball end sheared off the clutch cable yesterday a block from the house (thank you HD gods). Is there a preferred cable replacement ? Braided, black og, Any certain manufactory I should go with ?
Thanks, I also have 4" risers and 12"mini apes. Ball at the lever and barrel at the ramp
