I use a Yaqui slide for my Commander. Fits between the belt and pants, not much wider than the belt, so when you don't have the gun in it, most don't notice it (or realize it is a holster). I got used to that, because I had to go into some places that wouldn't let me carry, so would store it in my car safe. In all the years I have had it never had any retention problems.

I've heard it said the best gun is the one you carry. Clint Smith?
When stateside I carry either my .40 Xdm or my Glock 23.

Anything but a glock. Yuk. I'm a Beretta guy myself but I'm currently carrying a P229 .40.
I despise compacts.

As I age I find small & light is important to me so for the past 3 years I carry a Springfield XDS .45. I started concealed carry over 30 years ago with a Firestar .40SW. Great gun but sold it to a friend, big mistake. Then I went to a full size EAA Witness (CZ 75 clone) but that thing would flat wear you out after a full day. I carried a customized 1911 Officers model for a while but got tired of that weight too. My daughter suggested the XDS .45 (that's what she carries), after a few minutes getting used to the trigger pull I like it a LOT. I have CCW permits to cover everywhere I travel other than CA.

For carry on the bike I have a vest that was made for it.
Gun pocket on one side, extra mag spots in the other.

I have the S&W M&P 45. There is nothing I don't like about it. Fairly easy conceal, feeds well. Never had a jam.
