I like the Dollar General cheese grater for making home made baddle. The one that fit in their grating mill.

George, got the jets, thanks for tossing in those bowls screws, I needed them bad!

I emailed V&H and can get replacement baffles for $14 per so I'm definitely going to try out the baffles cut in half dealio. Don't have much to lose there.
Welcome !
Always a bonus !

These are the dogballs baffles khromewerks uses in their HP plus slip ons. In those, these are found in the center of another 2 5/8" diameter perferated sleeve all of which are placed in a 3" or 4" muffler. They also make them in a variety of sizes to use independently in drag pipes of different diameters or in other mufflers.
If you recall another thread recently where another manufacturer was using them now in an exhaust referred to as an anti reversion exhaust. I forget the name of them but the same person that designed them must have worked for both companies or something because both refer to the same patent number on them.
My guess is by cutting yours in half you will lose mid range. An area the sideshots aren't the best in already because of their length.
All you can do is try tho. Nothing is written in stone. The other the thing to be aware of is introducing more reversion tho. Especially in an area you DO care about and is harder to come out of. Midrange. They do have a hidden chamber tho right? Remember you're using a cam with 56° overlap.

^^yeah, they do have a crossover kinda like an h-pipe. I’m actually going to run the full standard baffles 99% of the time. The cut in half baffle thing I want to test to see if I can make a few more hp up top to help when running at the drag strip. Get closer to Patriot peak numbers kinda thing. I’m ok losing bottom end but I’m interested in seeing the dyno chart. I did see dyno results where a guy cut his V&H looking louvered baffles in half and to my surprise the he lost nothing anywhere and picked up 4hp. I’ve also seen where people lost a lot of low end/mid range so it should be interesting to see and I’ll definitely post the results when the bike hits the dyno.

Gotcha. Just throwing that out there. Figured you probably knew. I'd give you these for shipping basically if you wanted them.
Package came today, btw.
