Cleaning a Carb
http://xlforum.net/forums/s...d.php?t=185361

Note: a piece of angle-aluminum works better for the carb stand than does the flat steel pictured in the Sticky.

Sounds like a plan. I'm going through everything now and cleaning and collecting what parts I still need. Right now I'm working with the carb and rebuilding the front master cylinder, it was in rough shape. Right now I have the carb soaking and the brakes are doing the same so I can hopefully get the piston to come out tomorrow.

Havnt decided yet, gonna be awhile before I get there. I have k&n in my truck and like being able to re-use but I've heard the foam are good for breathability. I like the look of velocity stacks but would never use one. Rather not be sucking a bunch of grit into the engine.

I'll be sure to do that, thank you. I'm sure I'll have plenty more issues to deal with before then also! My manual has alot but not everything.
