Question Where to find the VIN run for '65s ?

I have 65XLCH 7697, and was looking for the VIN run form start to end of 1965 to see if mine is an early or late production bike. So far, I don't see that info in Sportsterpedia...... am I missing it somewhere?

Look up sub documents at the top of the history page:
Sportster VIN Changes
http://sportsterpedia.com/doku.php/s...istory:99xx-01

VIN run per year is not there though although it needs to be. How would you go about finding that information and I'll work on it.

Belly numbers tell the tale... The Legend Begins gives production numbers, which may or may not be accurate.

I guess it's not real important, just was curious, and would look at it if here. I have experience with BSA and Triumph mid '60s bikes, and quite often the parts used on a "1967" could change mid-year. So, just wanted to be ahead of that later on if possible. Might be over thinking .......

It can be very important as far as ordering parts. My IH is titled as a '78, but it was at the very end of the '77 model year. Quite a few differences between the two year models.
