Enjoy it my friend, dirt running is addictive.

I get that but this is more like buying an 883 and converting it into a 1200 off the showroom floor. Cheaper to just go the the 12 from go, no?

it was a hoot! i ride snowmobiles alot, the owner wanted to check out my xcr800.
so i rode his bike for about 10 miles. it is weird leaning into corners in the snow.
not near as fast as my xcr though. fun as heck for 15 mins!

Taking a good look at the thing it would seem to have a rough time in the hard packed stuff we get on the east coast. Even the rear track would want to dig deep to take a hard turn. Surely the front ski would want to go straight.

We have these kits available at the store I work at. Right around $4500 Canadian. Used mostly in the mountains in the fresh powder. Work way better there. Not much fun on the trails. As was said they like to go straight until you can lean them in the powder and then throttle them around. They do run a race series here. They run as an undergrad to the sleds I think.

As an aside our sponsored sled rider was #1 before the shutdown. Shout out to Jake Weir.

Very cool. I’ll eBay it for less than half if that to offset the purchase price a bit. It hasn’t a scratch on it. The owner couldn’t control it and was too lazy to convert it back to two wheels. More pics to all who are interested.

i was on a nicely groomed trail, decent hard pack.
it hooked up alot better than i thought it would.
i had no problem keeping it on the trail, and i had no clue how to ride it.
i saw a video, one a guy left the trail into deep powder, and the bike disappeared, it was sunk over the riders head.
it would take some getting used to!
i rode dirt bikes a lot when young.
been riding snowmobiles regularly since i was a kid.

used to sell and build a ton of these when i was living off the great lakes. we had the timbersled brand. they work pretty decent on trails with the right ski and track set up once you get the hang of it. i loved mine but the snowmobile clubs hated them. not good on ice though. i wish we got more snow down this way so i could get another one.

The Timbersled factory is literally right across the street from us, here in the metropolis of Sandpoint Idaho.
