OK, I tested without the baffle, here's what I got:

Blue = with the baffle (yesterday's result)

Red = no baffle

I did not do any tuning, I just removed the baffle and started beating on the bike. I didn't even bother with the a/f probe. Got this result fairly easily.

If you're falling below 5500rpm on the drag strip, you're doing it wrong!

HAMMER Dan and I used to go around and around on that. I'd design him pipes that were all about top end power and they'd pull a big number so long as you kept it above 5500 or so. But they demand a certain technique at launch such that you never let the rpm drop out of the powerband.

One time his race bike was broken and he had to make a race up in Seattle. So I loaned him my M2 for a race. Well, my M2 is a street bike, and had a Force pipe at the time, and has a wide powerband relatively speaking. He didn't do real well, he was running an unfamiliar and undeveloped bike, but he came back raving about how much he liked having some midrange and how much easier it made the bike to ride.

So he started experimenting with trading off some top end power for some midrange on his race bike, and adjusting his launch technique to match. He slowed down

I'm no drag racer by any means, that's his domain, but from everything I've seen, the fast guys are basically fearless. They hold that motor at a very high rpm, and when they see the light, they drop the clutch and nail it. They have enough swingarm to keep it from coming over on them, but not so much that they spin the tire. They never let the rpm's drop.

We (HAMMER PERFORMANCE) have decided to start offering this exhaust system. It's a very high quality system that obviously delivers the goods. It also has a 3-year warranty and comes with a TTS tune. Its not on our web site just yet but our price will be $999.95.
