2007 XL883/1250 owned by HAMMER PERFORMANCE - the same one we use for all our R&D

In the interest of full disclosure: the above was a 5th gear pull. I really don't like pulling the bike in 5th because it tears up the tire. In fact, the tire has huge chunks missing out of it from doing 5th gear pulls and I'm concerned about a blowout.

So I did almost all my tuning and pounding on the bike in 4th. I got a lot of 113's, a few 114's and just a couple 115's. Finally after I was sure I had everything out of it, I slipped it into 5th for a few pulls, got this, and rolled it off the dyno.

Something that's evident from the chart: we're still filling the cylinder at 7500rpm. Not sure if I want to turn the limiter up or not. Don't really want a window in the motor. I think 7500 is a pretty good place to stop.

We're not anywhere near done here, we still have several experiments in the plan ... not many experiments from now, we'll be hitting these heads with the SLEDGE Hammer. That should be interesting. But that's not the only experiment in the works, not by far. You'll hear about the ones that work

The right side of that graph is impressive.

And you did it without giving up anything on the left side, 60 hp at 4000.

was the manifold and tb done before the crush upgrade ?
keen to see if it made any/much difference.
it seems the ceiling is around 120hp so far, I think some radical changes are needed to make more power ie more comp and cams.
I think the heads and supporting hardware flow enough for these to be increased it seems like the only avenue to me anyway.
have you guys tried the 660 cams in this combo ? and say 11.5-1 ?
(I know with the bigger cams and comp it will push the bottom end to its limits but we need to know where its limits are).

Thanks guys! Lotta hard work into all this. But this is nothing special, this is our standard stuff we sell to anyone.

I'm very anxious about the upcoming experiments. I don't know if we can put it over 120 or not but we'll sure take a shot. At some point, you gotta figure we're gonna outrun the injectors.

Hairy, I didn't try it in this configuration with the stock throttle body & manifold. My somewhat educated guess is 3hp. I know that at a 106-108 kind of power number, it's worth 2hp. We've got used throttle bodies in stock, specifically for our far-away customers, if you'd like to order one up.

Nice work Aaron thanks for sharing, some pretty impressive stuff right there.. Ol muley looks like it starting to kick like a thoroughbred!
You guys ever thought about developing a torquey cam and package? Dont get me wrong the ponies are all good, but torque is a whole heap of fun too. Sometimes it seems poor ol torque gets forgotten!
Is even numbers around the 120s achievable with an 88 kit? Or is there not really the market for it?

the 560 is a torque cam. if you ride one you will agree.
even my 600's are great down low.
120hp is Easley achievable @88inch I think.
