Default 07 heads on 04 rubbermount

Hi,
my front head starts to loose compression, tested by an official HD dealer today

front 7,0 bar
rear 9,5 bar
bike has 30.000 mls
bike runs not bad, but at idle it seems little bit like a steam hammer, because rear is fine, front bad

before I do a complete head job front and rear, it´ll be better ta take some used take off parts of a nearly new 1200 converted sportsers, which is very cheap
my question is, what do I have to do, to use 07 and later heads on my bike with the carburetor. As far as I know the manifold flanges changed - what do I need?
thx

Be aware that there was a significant change beginning in 2007 when the factory went to fuel injection on the Sportsters. 2007 and newer XL heads have their manifold mating surface milled down about .062" versus the carburetor heads, and also they have the manifold flange bolts moved apart to accommodate the larger EFI throttle body, with wider manifold flanges to match.
The 2007-up heads however can be used with a carburetor by using a special wider intake manifold available from HAMMER PERFORMANCE.

manifold an flanges came today - perfect
now I´ve everything to assemble my 2010 Iron pistons, cylinders and heads on my 2004 rubbermount. There is only one question. Seems like these o-rings on cylinder dowels disappeared in 2008. Do I just need the newer head gaskets 16664-86D to assemble ?
thx
