Custom Review:

Review by Johnny Bravo

"I have a RGU w/ 4" slash cut Vance & Hines performance slip-ons. I removed the baffles to increase the sound and my safety. I lost torque and the sound was super loud. My buddy recommended the Torque Inserts and what an amazing difference in low and mid torque!!! I tried 3 different angles for the sound and decided to leave the inserts flat against the diameter of the pipes. Strong Sound! Deep and throaty."

Thank You, Johnny!

@DK Custom,

Iīve bought a set of LAF (I am guessing it stands for "Loud As F..k") Drag pipes and a set of your "118 Inserts"... In the pipes description it states they are 2 Inch, but I donīt know if thatīs the inside or the outside.

Questions:

- If the 2 Inch diameter is the inside, will the 118s still do the job? I hope so... as at GBP 44.00 (USD 55.00, thatīs 30 GBP + 14 for Shipping to Spain) an UK shop charged me I donīt really want to spend that amount again for another set. plus they are Sold Out at the moment.

- If you reckon those 118 will be too small for these pipes... would placing one extra nut (or washers) make a difference?

- How far in can the Inserts be placed? Will it be OK about 5 Inches in? Does it make a difference how far in are they placed?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Franco

If the inside diameter is at least 2" or larger, you'd want to go with the 158 TTI.

If the ID is any smaller than 2", even an 8th of an inch smaller, you'll want the 118.

They are designed to be installed about 2" in from the exit of the exhaust.

Just looking at your pic, it looks as tho the 118 will work for you. But I cannot say for sure without knowing exact measurements.

You want to use the largest insert possible for the most optimal results.

Feel free to take some measurements and give us a call or shoot us an email.

Alright, thanks for the quick reply!

I will not be home till next week, but I've asked the vendor and they told me the inside diameter is 37 mm ((1 1/8 Inch?), not sure if they measured the headers or the lower end... I will keep you posted.

Thanks again.

You'll want to make sure they are measuring about 2" in from the exit of the exhaust, where the inserts will be installed.

Let us know if you have any other questions!
