Default Rear master cyclinder bore size

I'm fabricating rear set pegs and controls for my 2001 XL...This requires relocating the rear master cylinder to the front about 4 inches past where it was and flipped around so the push rod faces the rear. But's it's not the look I want...
I see later rubber mounts have a smaller master with a remote reservoir ....Does anyone know the master cylinder bore size? The master on my 2001 is 11/16 (16 MM) Thanks.

If you use the later caliper, also, you shouldn't have any problems.

I have no idea if the later caliper will fit ..and...a $40 swap will double or triple in price...

Your M/C on that year should be 5/8". How did you find 11/16"?

I actually removed the piston and measured it...Of course the master cylinder may have been replaced in the last 18 years.. . If it's supposed to be 5/8, is that Harley Davidson factory specs or just what's seen on the Internet or from actual experience?
The rear brake appears well balanced ,not excessive pressure needed or prone to easy lock up so the size seems ok..

Factory 42456-87D is 5/8". Look it up to see if yours is the same.
