What's with the Prefix thing? If you are on the '57 - '85 board, and hit new thread, why do you have to tell the system that you are where you are posting??
My own stupidity I know, just frustrating to go back and look for response,...... And no post was ever up.

The computer software that runs this forum, vBulletin, is a very popular choice. It is used to run many internet forums. It has been around for many years. It does get updated from time to time, but it is way too big and complex to completely re-write to make everything cool and neat and modern.

The prefix thing is an improvement that was added in several years ago to help keep the various XLForum forums from interfering with each other. It works well enough.
