Default Best Battery Maintainer and/or Booster?

Hearing that a charger/maintainer is a must, but not clear on which one is best (number of amps/volts needed, etc.). Also want to keep a small battery booster on me during colder months, just in case I can't plug in. Any recommendations? Currently looking at the NOCO Genius G750, NOCO Genius G1100, Battery Tender 12 Volt Junior, and the Battery Tender 8 Volt. Thoughts? Thanks.

I can highly recommend an Optimate. That thing is awesome, saved me a lot of battery replacements. Just plug it in, 'fire and forget'

Mine is an old one, I think it was one of the first ones they made. It must be at least 15 or 20 years old.
My son has recently bought a newer model, OptimateIII for his Triumph Street Triple. This one https://tecmate.com/products/optimate3/
They have also special ones for bikes with canbus I believe, like BMW's.

added: OptiMate 4’s “CANbus” program is only for BMW Motorcycles.

+1 for an Optimate 3+ or 4. They actually cycle on and off during float. Much better than the others.

Thanks for the input! Is it safe to assume that the 12-volt models are the way to go? How about amp requirements?

12V is the safe way to go. Usually it delivers between 3 – 50Ah. But the device will handle it. Most of them are for lead-acid, AGM & GEL batteries
NOTE: If you happen to have a Lithium-ion battery in your bike, you will have to use a charger/tender that is suitable for that kind of battery.

You have a 12V battery so you want a 12V charger. Optimate 4 is a 1 amp charger that works on batteries from 3 to 50 amp/hr. For my money they're the best way to go. My bikes are sitting connected to Optimate 4's and my mower is hooked to an Optimate 3+.

It's a feckin simple formula, that guy Watts, ohm and his god damned farging friend Volt.
Personally, i blame it on Volt and his likes...

I second that. I've been using an Optіmate since 2003. I currently have two Optіmate IIIs, one for each bike.

I've used the regular Optіmate III on bikes with and without CAN Bus; works perfectly on both. No need for a different version just because you have CAN Bus.
