I have a Carby 2006 rubber mount with a 4.5 gallon tank. So far I've gotten between about 41 and 50 mpg. So that could be anywhere from about 110-140 miles before hitting reserve.
Well I need to update that.

I just had to switch to reserve for the first time, 178 miles of riding in Washington DC traffic, not easy on the throttle. Supposed to have a gallon on reserve so I had another 50 miles to go. So at about 200 miles I will start getting really nervous.

Today, took a 110 mile cruise with my son. Used 2.02 gallons, just about 55 mpg. Don't know what my son got on his Streetglide but he's usually 3-5 mpg less than my Sporty. Nice weather.. 10-15 mph winds and speeds of 55-65mph.

Manteca to Fremont and back over the Altamont pass and Sunol grade, a distance of 110 miles showed a 45 mpg.

I cruise on the Autobahn with two up at around 140 kph (87 mph) and do bot take that big of a hit on mileage. Although my Sporty does have the extra tooth on the output belt sprocket (international). The extra tooth drops the rpm around 500 rpm. I still think the Sporty should have a stage IV kit with a 6 speed transmission stock from the factory.

I get between 40-45mpg but I ride it hard most of the time. Lot of hard accelerating/decelerating on the 2 lane twisties and hotrodding around town. Jetted with a 25 pilot, 97 needle on the 2nd groove in the y8 needle jet and 170 main. It's just too fun to putz around and worry about mpg. Its my toy not my transportation.
I do get a light coating of black soot in my exhaust but with all the hard accelerating I do it's normal. I was pulling my enrichner all the way out to start it til recently too. I can get by with half way out and once I roll out it gets shut off right away now. I was leaving it part way out for a mile. It pulled out for maybe 30 seconds left in then off I go and close it. I keep the idle up at stops with the throttle.

Theoretically by the fuel economy numbers I should be able to go over 200 miles before I have to push it. However, I usually don't push it near that far. Usually I'm fueling where my friends are, and their big twins usually kick the fuel light around 150 miles. I once did 180 miles 2 up riding in the mountains, and hit reserve a couple miles from the fuel stop. The only other time I needed reserve since I got it was before I started using the B trip meter for fuel stops, and I'd forgotten to write the odometer down so I have no idea how far I'd gone.
