LED Headlight Install
I just bought the new Harley LED Headlight and having a problem installing it. I can't seem to put the chrome ring (that goes on the front) on if I use the rubber gasket that comes with the new headlight. If I don't use the rubber gasket I can get the chrome ring to slide on.
Do I need to use the rubber gasket?
Has anyone else installed the LED headlight with the rubber gasket?
Thanks!

no idea but gaskets sound important, maybe heat up ring with a hairdryer may expand enough to fit??
you could email the seller for info, likely a common problem, gasket may stop vibration or moisture seeping in

Is the rubber gasket supposed to go behind or in front of the light? It might be to help stop vibrations because the led light is waterproof from what i was told. I installed a 7" fatboy headlight and the auxilery lights both with the Harley Daymaker LED lights in all 3 and both the headlight and the aux lights did not come with a gasket.

I installed the daymaker a couple of months ago and didn't use the gasket. If there wasn't one on the lens you took off then you don't need it. Pretty sure it was mentioned in the instruction sheet that came with the light.
Awesome headlight.

I bought an Eagle Lites daymaker clone. No gasket and it shook in the can. It was visible in the light pattern. I wasn't sure if the vibes would hasten the death of the light so I cut some small rubber hose ( 1/4" vacuum hose) to shim it tight. LED's are the bomb. Love the added visibility.
