I find it far more comfortable wearing a helmet in the hot weather rather than having the hot sun on top of my head. In fact, I find the helmet more comfortable in any weather.

Here's my mesh jacket. Has a little armor and is very cool.

I know I should not ride in shorts!
But I think I just had the coolest summer ride I ever had just now!
Right at dusk it felt so good after a very hot Day!
Sporty ran so good and cool!
Sportsters forever!
Clevspeed!

In what seems like a previous lifetime, serving in the military as an E.R. Medic for four years, I’ve yet to see a single contest won by skin over asphalt. Never happens, ever, so I try to stack the deck in my favor. While my gear wasn’t up to preventing broken bones in my 50 m.p.h. get off, I had no, none, zero road rash anywhere. Believe me when I say that picking debris out of flesh is not pleasant and takes a long time, with much discomfort , to heal. You do what you gotta do but me I’ll try stacking the deck in my favor. Rant over.

When I had my mishap with the deer I had a lot of broken bones and other injuries but no roads rash. I had my gear on. Won't ride without it.

Ewww. You are not a scooter tramp like me.

You'll be so sooooooooory.

Glad we are adults here who are not overly judgmental.
Even when acting irresponsibly.
Cuz sometimes it is fun.

Here.
Hold my beer.

Ride all the time. Heat doesn't bother me. Did a run across the Hay Plain, was about 111F. Full face helmet, jeans, leather jacket and vest. Was very comfortable.
Also did a run to Cameron Corner, north west of Tibooburra, was a 9 days in the outback belting through the sand. Full gear again.
Kinda miss that weather, currently winter and it has been getting down to 21F some mornings.
