Default Swapping out single speedo for 1200 dual gauge setup

2003 sportster. Got a used speedo and tach set from a 1200 sportster so I would have the two gauge setup. My bike only has 2400 miles, but the used speedo shows 15000 miles. When I install this set, will the speedo still read 15000 or will my ECU tell it to read the actual 2400 mileage my bike has on it?

My speedo is all black. Used one has chrome rings front and back. Wanted to avoid swapping front and back rings.

The chrome ring on the back is part of the cover. Just two screws if I remember correctly. The front ring is part of the speedo, but you can get a 4" chrome trim ring to fit your old speedo. Shouldn't be that hard to change over.

Mask it off and give it a dusting of satin black.
