Is a symptom of a system relay not working.
Picture of pump. The only bit of pipe appears to be at the top going from part #13 to #11

I think the block is just clipped in place as it has some free movement. I cannot work out how it comes out.
You can use some electrical contact cleaner on it and something thinner than a relay or fuse spade/blade to clean it.

Ah, I almost bypassed the e-mail of your reply, then on looking, I see you are replying to my last post about this.
My bad form for not coming back to update the thread on the situation.
Yes, it was electrical,
Both relays and all fuses tested good.
It was corrosion on the fuse/relay block holder unit terminals.
Spraying with various aerosol cleaning fluids, cleaning each contact with a couple of strokes of a thin worn old needle file, then ACF50 and re-installing all the fuses did the trick
Did not even pull the fuel pump to check that internal pipe.
