Something I found laying around on the internet: The Sportster SuperLow 1200T is Harley-Davidsons way of filling the gap in its lineup for a smaller touring bike. The Motor Company increased displacement (and therefore power) of its 883 Sportster SuperLowto 1200cc and added creature comforts to make it more appealing for motorcycle touring.Feb 9, 2016

I guess they're not all intended to be drag bikes or bar hoppers....

Average Joe: My Sportster "SUCKS" on the highway
Mechanic: I can fix that for you
Dealer: Forget that turd that just happens to be our best selling bike, you need to drop 50k on our top of the line CVO
Numb Nut: Grit your teeth and bare it. Life is supposed to be painful

This Sportster is going to take me to the Arctic Ocean in about a month and a half from now.
This photo was taken on the way to Daytona a few weeks ago.

I don't remember what year they dropped the Super Low but my first thought was the bike was to appealing to guys like me that don't want to spend the money. Wrong target crowd and they kept producing the Sportster with the smaller tank. You can do anything you want with any other brand but whatever you do don't tour on a Sportster.

I wish you would have told me that before I put 327,000 miles on my 2006 Sportster

That's what I'm saying man. I guess I'm supposed to have a different bike for every riding occasion even tho the 1200T stands for touring. I have an 883L that's been fully converted to a legitimate 1200T.

My bagster rips ass and I can ride it on the highway without my fillings falling out because I geared it. Less weight more filling.
