I do. As long as your charging system is up to par, it's a good way to shed 11 lbs. You just need to make spacers to make it work in the stock XLH box. It also leaves room for tools is you want.

I use a battery that fits my '07 Softail Deluxe and just cut some styrofoam to make it fit in the battery box.

Default I'm a HUGE fan of them...

...They're lighter, more powerful (no matter what the CCA & amp hours numbers say), and a breeze to live with --- no acid corrosion or fluid check bullshit.

I welded up a skeletal battery carrier for my own application, but yeah, the extra space is great for tools & is also a good place to stash your weed.

With the roach on this one. Been using them for 3 years now. If you get the AGM style and ride regularly you can throw away the trickle charger. Very low discharge, longer life span, less strain on the generator, less weight. Except for 1 miss-step, [JP Cycles house brand], I've had no issues. Highly recommend Inter State's Cycle -Tron 2 series. Seems to be the best bang for the buck.

Default While I use the H-D brand, I recognize...

...that Deka is their supplier and you can save some $erious coin if you deal with one of their distributors.
