The fender is a copy of the original, saddle on ebay from "mrmom9r" and the tank original that a friend has had lying on a shelf for many years.

Have you tried the twin carb setup yet? I’m guessing this is the same intake sold by cycle change (common intake instead of individual runners). I’ve strongly considered using them on my next IH but was afraid that might be two much carb filling one cylinder at a time.

Yes the intake is the same. No major problems so far, had to modify the gas roller so that the carburetor opened fully. The bike runs smoothly and nicely until you turn the throttle properly, then it pushes away really good.

Instead of fitting 2 separate carbs, why not try a single 2 barrel carb like the vintage Mikuni Solex PHH 36. Two throats with their own jetting, very simple to adjust without the need to disassemble the carb. Only problem is they are no longer made and you have to hunt for them. Plus, you need a guy who knows them to do a rebuild so they work correctly. Otherwise, fantastic carbs (I have three of them!).

Yes this is a bit of an experiment with this carburetor set, found these on a swap meet and I've seen these in older magazines and wanted to know if I can make these work the way I want. I'm a good way to reach that goal. Mikuni Solex PHH 36 looks interesting but not quite easy to find and I know that there are more modern carburetors that work great, but it's not as fun, and hopefully I learn something new.
