Yes, the AGM info on Sportsterpedia needs updating.
There are customer fill AGMs, which cannot be vacuum filled.
Once filled and sealed, they should be the same/close to same as non-vacuum filled AGM

Some folks prefer to fill their own, thinking fresher...but as many AGMs that I have bought in the last few years for many different vehicles, the mfg date has not been over a month old.

In searching for the voltage range on that system I only found the thread when you were installing. What is maximum voltage at higher RPMs?

Ray sends instructions with the unit; I installed it last year. I'll have to root around and find them...I have about three 3-ring binders full of threads, pics, and .PDF docs on stuff I was interested in...In no particular order...

Ah - 14.8 volts just above idle. I'm reading Ray's instruction sheet for that. My on-the-bike readings averaged 14.43-14.44v at 1500-3000rpm. The integral regulator kicks in after that.

I received two emails from my inquiries about filling/sealed YTX20H-BS batteries (or their clones)...Summit sells them unsealed but supplies the acid; Battery Mart sells them filled & factory sealed. Drag Specialties seems to have the factory sealed also.

Should be fine.
My truck, Jeep other vehicles are typical 13.8-14.8 vdc and AGMs do better than average at 2 1/2 years or so, in hot desert climate (pushing 120 F). Whereas lead-acid are only about 2 years.

For my 1994, I've used the Extreme Magna Power AGM battery (made by East Penn - EXT16 - 325CCA - 19Ah - 17lbs - Tight fit) since early 2013. It comes factory activated. https://www.pepboys.com/magna-power-...roduct/1055140

The first one died after 4-years - the second is now showing signs of dying at 4-years...

I bought mine thru Pep Boys (the lowest price, especially with an online ordering discount)... Current price is $88.99 - 20% discount = about $72.

Be sure you check which size version you need & the terminal locations...

We just got an AGM battery for my buddy's dual sport. It came dry, with acid. The "plugs" for the fill holes was one continuous strip with plugs, and flat on top. So, when filled and plug strip installed, there was no way to remove the strip. Perhaps that's what the confusion is about?

I have a 5 year old deka in one of my shovelheads, still good hot battery.
