Can't find much on it.
Specs say
Standard Efficiency, Filters are typically used on older machine models where tolerances are more forgiving.

I just thought the design was very interesting !
I did run one for a short time but I had an engine noise, turned out to be a loose exhaust baffle.

CAT Oil Filters
We offer a full line of filters with three efficiency levels:
• Standard Efficiency Filters offer reliable filtration of contaminants, delivering cost-effective value and protection to your engine.
• Advanced Efficiency Filters have increased contamination control without giving up dirt-holding capacity for stricter component and emission requirements in newer equipment.
They are also available for many machines as an upgrade from standard filters to provide an increased level of protection.
• Ultra High Efficiency Filters provide optimum contamination control in all applications while maintaining capacity.
They are recommended as a clean-out filter after any service work.

Cat®
Advanced High Efficiency Engine Oil Filters
Link has a comparison of standard vs. Advanced filters.
Standard looks to be close to 20 micron rating at ~ 50% efficiency.
Advanced looks to be close to 10 micron rating at ~ 50% efficiency.
Using a WIX 57148 filter for a cross reference shows these CAT filters-
PART # 51748 WIX ENGINE OIL FILTER
MATCHING CAT PARTS
CAT PART # 3I-1265 ENGINE OIL FILTER
CAT PART # 396-1253 ENGINE OIL FILTER
Not much info available.
Somewhere I found- 220-1523

The CAT 220-1523 filter is very close in specs to the Wix 51215 filter.

Looks like a nice filter, but I'm a little worried that my bike is going to dig for dirt while using this.
