Hi Rascal, Struggling with the opposite down under. Been a long hot summer down this end of the world, looking forward to some autumn so that I can bear to put jeans and boots on again. Hope you are doing well despite the long winter.

I thought I'd take the opportunity to thank you for this old thread. Back in the day, when it was THE place to mingle, it really did help forge friendships (though it may well have killed some too ). While it certainly isn't the happening thread it once was, it will always be an integral part of this forum's history and character.

From my own perspective, ten years ago, when I was working in the US for a few months it was the banter in threads like this that encouraged me to be "brave enough" to meet some of the other forum folk, which in turn led to friendships and shared adventures over the years.

Back in 2007 when I joined, I had a new nightster and was new to the Sportster world, and at that time, many of the sportster-specific threads were somewhat hostile towards nightster owners and our naive questions. So if it hadn't been for the off-topic banter of threads like this, I doubt I would have hung around. I could see, and valued, the knowledge-base in the on-topic threads, but trying to ask questions without getting shot down was challenging. But then the light-hearted side of people emerged in threads such as this one and helped me see the "other side" of the nature of you fellas. Lo and behold, 11 years since joining and I'm still hanging around like a bad smell

So as it turns out, you've got a lot to answer for

I'd give you some rep for that wonderful note trace, but I can't yet. Thanks for being here, and being you.

Women are important

Women make you appreciate peace
Women make you see the world from a better perspective
Women help you to find strenght to rise another time after a fall
Women help you to find limits and boundaries on your behavior

If it wasn't for them...
we male population had long disappeared since we would be ending fighting each other
