sure, why not?

who are we to judge how other people feel?

there are some people who still think that it's impossible for a person to love somebody of the same sex.

i think that we look at others and expect them to feel and act in the same manner that we do.

live and let live.

Not true.
You can be faithful for 15 years to your wife and
one day me another woman you'll flash on...
I lived it and I suffered so much when
I had to choose between her and my wife....
It wasn't sex at all but really love.

Given that man is polygamous by nature (but, you have to go way back in history to find examples of polygamous societies), I said YES.

But, none of the Western societies allow polygamy today. And darn few 'Eastern' ones even recognize it. Pity! If we had been polygamous all along, there might be better relationships between men and women.

Of course, in the way back time, it was usually only men who could benefit from polygamy. In my opinion, we could have a very stable society that allowed multiple men and women 'co-spouses' in a family. But, it would take a major upheaval of social structures to get that way from our present social rule set.

And even though I said yes, I have never found (nor sought) anyone else to be in love with except my wife. I do know some who I would consider for a co-wife, IF my current wife approved: 'cause we are united in life and should make those decisions together.

Sleeping with two women at or around the same time isn't the same as being "in love with."

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not judging.

Nor am I saying that polygamy is wrong if that's your bag. Frankly, Carl is quite correct about the biological imperative to spread our genetic code.

But I just don't think my definition of IN LOVE can work that way (and I've got some experience to support that, at least in my own case).

Making love work takes complete emotional commitment.
but that is not the meaning of love or the correct answer to the question.

One can be in love with more then one person, but someone loses in the end.

I do not see why a person could not be in love with more than one person. Why limit such wonderful thing? I am not talking about sex, I am talking about love.

I think humans spend too much time limiting the good things in life by labeling them evil or wrong.

When a spouse dies and the living one remarries does that person no longer love their deceased spouse?? Or is it ok to love a dead person and a live person at the same time but not more than one live person.

I think people are tripping on the defintions of Love.

Perhaps people are just talking about different things with the same name on them.

being "In love" with involves lust for me (certainly doesn't have to be limited to, but that's a factor).

LOVING someone is different.

I love LOTS of people, but I'm only IN LOVE with one....

but that's from YOUR experience.

perhaps other people are capable of other feelings or ideas.

i only own ONE motorcycle right now, and i am in love and lust with it...

but i hope someday to be able to give equal love and lust to other bikes.

but in all seriousness -

i can recall a time when i was sort of dating a couple of girls at once...and i DID pick one...but perhaps if our society wasn't puritanical and closeminded and i didn't learn that there is only ONE WAY for people to live their lives (the good old American Christian way) perhaps i wouldn't HAVE to pick...

know what i'm saying?

i think humans are capable of FAR MORE things that we are currently 'allowed' to do by societal restraints.
