Default sproket issues

hello, trying to change my chain sprocket at the engine, gonna put a smaller one on it, the question is, is the thread on the bolt backwards, clockwise to take it off or is a regular thread, can't even budge it! is there a trick to getting it off, having difficulty holding the sprocket still!! Help!!

Yep, they can be on there pretty strongly (I use red loctite to secure it). That needs heat to break down, so it is possible someone else did that before.

You may also need a puller to get it started sliding off the mainshaft.

Default sprocket

thanks, it ended up coming off, once we got the main bolt out we used two smaller bolts on the sprocket to slowly pull the sprocket off, homemade pulley.
