Yeah... Last year I bought a 2014 XL883L with a whopping
243 miles on it. So much fun buying a five year old bike and
having to finish the break in.
The dealer said that last summer they got 12 bikes for trade
in that had less than 500 miles on them.
One was a different 2014 that had 89 miles on it.

I did the same this year, purchased a 2014 SuperLow with 631 km (390 miles) on it. Person that owned it bought it new to learn how to ride, fell over a couple of times, gave up and put it in the shed. Mirrors, clutch handle and derby cover later, it's fine.

The 73 xlch had 137xx on the odometer, so it averaged a bit less than 300 miles a year. I don't understand why you would even have a motorcycle if you only rode it that much.

When I bought my one and only Evo 883, it was a '93 that I bought in 2003 and had less than 3000 miles on it, so approx 300 per year. I subsequently put over 30,000 on it the following 3 years until I lost it in a crash at Deals Gap. No idea why anyone would ride so little. Hell I put 300 miles on my '80 hardtail just this past weekend (estimated, no gauges so gotta go by Google maps).

I have a 70 mile commute to work and back, so that adds up to 17,000 miles a year
just going to work, not to mention going to play....
