Default C&C custom seat choice-tall rider

Good morning and Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I’m bleary eye’d from looking at seats for my 09 883C. I’ve got the skills but not the interest in relocating my ecm to get me a better selection of seats for my height. I’ve even thought about buying a seat and modifying it to fit the ecm. Anyhow, I’m really liking the C&C custom seats. They do say that the 2up’s give a little more room than the solo but I’d like to hear from anyone with a C&C solo who is over 6’ if they’re happy with the fit. I’d greatly appreciate it. Thanks, Bill

Mine isn't exactly a solo but for all intensive purposes it really is and the reason I chose it(Fastback) over a solo is I liked the way it flowed into the fender.
I'm not 6' but it does set you back an inch and down an inch. You can also have it set you back further up to a predetermined point that I don't recall atm. Like another 1 or 2 inches. They're flexible to a point exactly where they place the lumbar support but you have to tell them that and I think they do charge extra.
I really like the way I sit in this seat and not on it. They are firm so if you want pillowy...however you can have gel inserts put in too. Also, your choice of vinyl or a multitude of different leathers if you really want to get carried away. Same with colors and patterns of stitching. I kept mine plain but leather. It's just now getting broke in.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards the fastback just for the extra room. The solo version ends kind of abruptly where that fastback flows. The Lopro looks great but not convinced it would be comfortable for anything over a Sunday ride.

The Lopro is a fine looking seat but I changed my mind on buying it for the same reason.
A couple generous applications of mink oil in the hot sun really helped with the breakin of the leather.

Thanks 60G. Too bad we can’t have it all. Looks are subjective I know but there’s a pretty hard line for comfort. I’m thinking you’re satisfied with the material quality?

Yes. The quality of the seat in general is what you'd expect from a custom made seat. The side walls are vinyl to keep its shape with the seat portion leather that will break in to fit you. Its not just one piece pulled over and tucked under like most of the cheaper, mass produced, one size fits all seats.
I don't find the fluffy pillow thing that relies on the shape of the padding to be comfortable at all but more the actual shape of the seat and lumbar support in the right location.

So I spent some time spec’ing a fastback 2up as there’s a Black Friday/Cyber Monday sale and yeah buddy it gets pricey fast! I’m figuring mercedes leather with either a smooth vinyl band or a flat carbon fiber look vinyl band. The paint on my bike is factory but it flips from blue tp purple in the light so I was thinking about purple or blue seam stitching. Just an extra stitched pattern is $50 up charge. They look good though, but I’ll keep it simple. Thanks for the break in tips!

Look at the prices of some of the exotic leathers. You can REALLY get carried away.
But for basic package it pretty good for a custom seat.

60G , I didn’t bother looking for prices on that exotic stuff. The pictures said it all, too rich for my blood! I’m going to shelve the seat until Christmas, I ordered some bags and easy Brackets so after Mom (wife) reminded me we need another bed well what could I say? I think I can suffer a little. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.
