It’s a tight fit, there’s a bit of finesse involved. E-One has thinner steels to help adjust stack height. I start with one in the new pack and put the standard plate back in as the pack ears. Makes it easier to install too.

I finally got my aim in using a spring that I modified to 250# and weights on just 4 arms. Wouldn't stop slipping at all! I didn't beat the snot out of it cause I didn't want to hurt the clutch. Think I need more spring? More weight? What are y'all talking about air pressure? I gotta get a modified primary cover so I don't have to take the whole thing off every time! Lol

Haven't finished getting it back together yet but have a 1.28 pack, and a spring that's 350#! Got weight on all eight arms now also. Not gonna slip this time!

I like to work on static first. Get the wheel speed right on the hit. The lock up should start coming in around 15/20 feet out. If you can get it to leave carrying the tire just a little bit your static is pretty close. When it starts to slip is where your lock up should start working. When you get the front tire kinda shipping on and off the track thru first gear you’ll be knocking down some pretty good consistent 60’s. It is a hassle without a cover mod. If you use some three bond sealant instead of a gasket it helps. The gaskets don’t last.

What is your head/ cam/ displacement combo.

I run a se +25 (390lbs) spring and 9 grams on 4 arms and 4 grams on 4 arms.

I have a Smash 1250 on .560 cams over a XR1200 crank. I need to loose 50 to 70 lbs off spring to be closer to right.

My springs have been 300 with 34 tooth crank sprocket and 350 with 30 tooth. Weight the same on both, 4 arms weighted. Clutch pack between 1.250-1.280

Ryan Thibault makes a bad azz primary cover if you’re looking for one. Aka Rat Racing

I've got my BFH 1275 going with xr1200 crank. 34 tooth sprocket. I have talked with Ryan about a primary cover and he wasn't able to get one modified until after January 1st. Have to try and save some funds after the holidays. I made a 250 and tried it, no luck. I put my 350 back in today and it hooks hard!! Too hard but I'm going to ride with it the way it is until I get the cover modified. Then I'll play with it more. It's the newer style with the weights on the outside. I'll get it to the track next year and try for 10.99
