Default 2002 1200 XLC screamin Eagle air filter

I lost the filter for my 2002 XLC 1200.
It had the stage 1 I guess it's called air filter installed on it.
It looks a lot like this filter,
But both the front and back are open.
On the one I linked to, the front is closed in.
would this one work on mine?
Everything I find seems to say 2004 and up,
As if 2002 is so outdated or something.

Edit I meant 2004 and up
I wonder if I could make this one fit?

Use blue locktite. My cover and filter on my round cleaner came loose. Luckily I was back in the neighborhood coming home from a ride and found them. I knew better than to not install with thread locker.

You're lucky.. you will not find one of those filters unless you don't mind a used one off Ebay- and that might be a hard find. You would have to buy a whole new K&N setup.. not cheap.
