I suppose it would useless waiting for the bridge to be built, as they haven’t even started the one to Hawaii. May have to explore costs shipping and traveling by ship verses airfare?

Tunnels are boring. No scenery, the air is usually foul & it's dark. Besides, by not taking ship, you'd miss out on that wonderful experience of sea sickness. That's a joy that everyone should get to have. i.e., being so sick you're afraid you're going to die & at the same time being afraid you won't. Make you appreciate the fact that most other bad days really aren't so bad after all.
