Will this PN be sufficient for a CV51? I don't care about the air element as that is easy to change.

I didn't read the entire thread and I'm not about to. I just put a 51 CV on my Twin Cam 124" and that engine rendered me 136 hp and 142 ft lbs of torque. My choice of the CV is based off of that that is all that I have ever used is a CV and have never had any issues with them delivering the fuel and air that is needed for the engine. Why change from a product that works? Could this change, ABSOLUTELY! But as of now, the CV is what I am intending on using.

Bruce, (MaxHeadflow) is an intelligent man. I have spoken with him before.

No. I am going to fit a 51mm to a 90" I will buy a different one.

My completely unsupported by facts gut feeling is the 51 will be too big.

But the only way to tell will be the dyno.

It also depends where you want the power, midrange or top end.

Does a 51 mm CV carb have the same size intake pattern as the 40 mm ?

That looks to be the same (or very similar) air filter element used on many air cleaner assemblies, including in the HD/SE CV51 kit.
