Rubbermount_EVO DK Customs external Breather catch can location help

Hey all - I recently purchased the DK custom's External Breather System w/ Catch Can for my 2005 1200R. I have a screaming eagle stage 1 kit on the bike that has a backing plate that looks like this:



The issue im having is I didnt really realize how the routing should work for the breather bolts out of the air cleaner assembly. I contacted DK and they sent some very small photos that had right angle boots routing the tubing down, and drilled through the backing plate. They said they don't sell right angle boots. I dont think i have clearance to just bend the tube.. it would likely kink.

I'm just wondering if anyone here has tried this and could share how they ended up routing the tubes? Or wondering if I should just cut my losses and return the system and look for something else.

This is what I did with the same backplate. At the final connector is your choice. I used pipe that is the same diameter as the breather tubes, around 6mm.

I shortened the elbows where they plug into the breather pipes as the hole in the back plate is snug for them.

awesome great stuff. i'll have to translate sizing in the US but i think between home depot/McMaster-Carr/amazon i should be able to source something similar!
