I have many more dirt stories than street, but probably not many worth repeating.
My favorite riding area was heavily mined...so, I could never figure out why senator Al Cranston got the BLM to close it off to riding to "protect the environment"!

Friends and I did a lot of cross-country riding...just pick a landmark and head for it.
One time I was in the lead, clearing a rise, saw a depression, thought it was a mine shaft, but going way too fast to stop...so, WOT and pulled back on the handlebars, just barely clearing it. Next rider decided to brake and ended up in the middle of it...fortunately only a depression that he plowed into.

Ouch Paul. Note to self: No matter how tasty they may look, "don't bite the bars".

I think I got bonus "style" points for the unconscious ride section.
Oh, and if that old DT1 is still out there it could still have tooth parts still embedded in it!

I did award you an extra 3 points for that. I was going to give you 5 points, but lets face it, a chicken will continue to run around the yard without it's head so I had to deduct two points since your head was still attached.

This is something we all should keep in mind. If some clown chops your head clean off, you can still kill the bastard if you stay focused on the challenge at hand. Never give up, never surrender!

Yes bustert, I have that exact drawing hanging up on the door leading from our office to the shop area. Faded over the last 30 or 40 years, but still relevant.
