I didn’t think they were that difficult to find. I stopped picking them up at swap meets because there are always 5 or 6 for sale. Of the 10 or so I have, I know I didn’t give that much for any of them.38’s or 44’s.

I just looked at that listing again and it says item no longer available - someone scooped that up.

the vm series has a rich history in the two cycle world including all arenas.
super simplistic and easy to tune and the best part, no accel pump and issues. try a manual foot start when some yahoo has flooded the jugs while you are away.
i put one on in 1975 and still kicking with 180k. the only work done was a new needle/seat assy for the fuel inlet. parts are easy to get and a lot of rice shops have them.
the big draw back is limited sizing.
the no hands starting is a plus. another plus is if you leave the enrichen circuit on, it drops out with throttle opening.
