sure he tells so nowadays... he still wants to sell EVO Sportsters...
after 2020 be sure he will speak differently

as for the streetfighter...
is a good looking bike... wicked and aggressive...
also
she seems a metric bike...
come to my mind Monster family or other naked superbikes...

IMO is the right answer to the new EU5 challenges
i only hope HD engineers know what they are involved in... that is a tech market full of competitors

If you want to sell a superbike... you have to had her equipped with tech stuff...

ABS cornering new generation
new breed of customizable Traction Control
full customizable maps
anti hopping clutch
shift fully reversible
etc...

otherwise that bike is simply not sold... at least in EU...

I agree wholeheartedly, and at the same time the bolded paragraph is what scares me! There is some hardcore competition in this segment already, why would a potential buyer go with this instead of say a Kawa Z900, Honda CB1000R or a KTM SuperDuke? They (HD that is) does not have the brand loyal people in this segment, rather the opposite. I applaud their effort but I have my doubts. Still, if I would be in the market for a new bike in 2020 this is the first HD that has my interest.

I think as long as there are sales for the sportster, and it passes EPA, it will be in the line.
After all there is no residual cost to recover, very little engineering has been done since the rubermount efi change.
The platform is almost pure profit.

IMO is quite so...
the answer of Mo.Co. at the new EU5 (or new EPA) is to pour money on the developement of the new models... as long as EU4 is in charge there is no danger for our beloved bikes to die...

after 2020 there will be a new beginning... and the old EVO engines will became history... with all the pros and cons...

If it has respectable power, reasonable weight and good brakes and suspension at an appropriate price I'll certainly add one to the collection. I tend to buy a new bike every couple years as long as I don't run out of garage space (and I won't) so this may be my 2021 bike. Next year is a new bagger so the timing will be about right to buy one of these in 2021.
