Replaced the primary inspection cover gasket, indy that previous owner took it to used wrong gasket, used the cardboard, but i have an 08. Had to go to the MoCo and grab the rubber one. Yay, no more leaks!

Been ill with flu so first ride since Thursday. Chilly but sunny, needed sun visor! Thornton to Lytham then Preston HD for lunch. Not many bikes about,an Indian tourer & a pair of HD touring Big Twins at Preston HD Bought some thermal socks at J & S in Preston bit of shopping & errands done 58 miles today, mileage now 40612

Frost didn't clear til noon, short ride to Fleetwood, bit of bird watching & a pie & coffee at the Ferry Cafe.Very cold but new EDZ thermal socks work well.Only 12 miles yesterday

Default reached breakin point

Like I said in my intro, my 2008 xl883l has 286 miles when i bought it in December. Since then I have gotten out on a few around town rides on days of good weather on the weekends. That means that I just reached 500 Miles!!! break in is done, 11 ish years after rolling off the line...


It has fresh fluids before i took possession so, not doing any fluid changes till 1k.

Went out for a local spin. An hour or so. It was about 40 degrees out and my bike was ripping.
